You dreamed of a free alternative to Disqus, you thought that since your blog is intended for developers, you could use Github tickets to post comments? The developer of Utteranc.es did it.
When the page loads, the Utterances Javascript code looks in your Github repository to see if there is a ticket corresponding to the article, according to a method to choose (should it search for the article title or the entire url?). Readers either allow a Github application to comment on the page, or will comment directly in the associated ticket. And voila.
